16th Street in Denver is a key urban corridor and an important part of the city’s public life. Its redevelopment focuses on improving the quality of stay and aligning the space more closely with the needs of pedestrians.

The aim was to bring activity and energy back into the street. Through the reorganisation of space, the addition of seating and clearly defined zones, the street is reactivated as a public destination.Designed by MIG, the project integrates movement, use and social interaction within a coherent spatial framework.Within this context, elements from Vestre’s CODE series are used. They help structure the space and support a variety of uses in the public realm, from short stays to social interaction. The redevelopment demonstrates how targeted interventions can strengthen existing city centres and transform them into active public spaces.
