Production
We make almost everything ourselves. Every piece is cut, welded, coated, and assembled at our own factories in Scandinavia, using timber and steel we source as close to home as possible.

The Plus
The Plus opened in Magnor, Norway, in 2022. Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group -BIG, The Plus connects the Color Factory, the Wood Factory, the Assembly Hall, and the Warehouse around a central courtyard that forms the very heart of the building. It produces renewable solar power and is certified BREEAM-NOR Outstanding, the highest rating there is for a sustainable building.
VESTRE Steel Factory
Our steel and aluminum components are made at the Vestre Steel Factory in Torsby, Sweden. The building was designed by Snøhetta Architects and opened in 2013. This is where we cut, weld, and prepare steel, and on sunny days the rooftop solar array provides all the power the factory needs.
Materials
We work with materials chosen for long lifetimes and low emissions. For better corrosion resistance, our steel undergoes the dual surface treatment of hot-dip galvanizing and powder coating. Steel is where we are working hardest to cut emissions. Our aluminum is Hydro CIRCAL, made from at least 75 per cent recycled material. Our wood is mostly FSC™-C153905-certified Nordic pine, with Kebony for outdoor and oak for indoor use.

Hot-dip galvanization
Every steel component is dipped in a bath of liquid zinc at 450 degrees Celsius. The coating protects against rust for decades, and repairs itself if the surface is ever scratched or chipped. This is why every product carries a lifetime guarantee against rust.
Powder-coating
All metal parts are powder-coated in the Color Factory at The Plus. The process is solvent-free, applied electrostatically by robot, or by hand where necessary, then cured in an oven. The finish meets corrosion class C5, originally developed for the Norwegian offshore industry, and customers can choose from over 200 RAL colors.

Assembly
Everything comes together in the Assembly hall at The Plus. Metal frames, coated parts, and wooden slats are put together by hand, using only stainless or acid-resistant fasteners. Every piece is checked once more before it is packed and shipped.
