The Runway Playa Vista project in Los Angeles combines retail, dining and everyday use with high-quality outdoor spaces. The design aims to rethink the traditional shopping environment by placing greater emphasis on areas for staying and informal use.

Planned by BrightView Design Group, the concept focuses on structuring the outdoor space and creating usable areas that invite people to stay while supporting a range of activities. As part of a mixed-use neighbourhood, Runway Playa Vista provides an environment that is used not only by visitors but also by local residents in their daily lives.Vestre’s furniture — including the CODE, STOOP, BUZZ, ACCEPTOR, BLOC and HVILAN collections — complements this structure through differentiated seating options and areas for staying. It helps define the outdoor space as an integral part of the neighbourhood and supports informal use, from short pauses to social interaction.In combination with the overall design, the result is a robust and everyday outdoor environment that extends use beyond retail and strengthens the overall quality of the area.
