Brooklyn Basin is being developed on a former industrial site along the Oakland Estuary as a mixed-use neighborhood with residential, commercial, and public open space components. Early phases, including housing and outdoor areas, have already been completed and are in use.

Designed by EinwillerKuehl Landscape Architecture, the open spaces build on the site’s industrial past by adapting existing structures for new uses. Within these completed areas, Vestre’s Bloc collection is already in place. The seating helps structure promenades and gathering areas and is used by residents, workers, and visitors for informal use along the waterfront.
